The Solar iBoost+ concept is to divert the surplus solar photovoltaic energy generated at your home to heat the water in the household tank and save you money.
How does it affect my Feed-in Tariff Payments?
It doesn’t! In the UK, FIT generation payments are not affected. As most export tariff contracts are based on deemed energy usage rather than actually metered self-consumption, using Solar iBoost+ to consume any excess energy generated instead of exporting it can be more beneficial. Even with an export meter, the benefits of Solar iBoost+ can still outweigh rising energy costs.
How it Works:

Using just a single clamp installed at the household meter, the Sender transmits vital export energy information to the Solar iBoost+ wirelessly.
Solar iBoost+ is activated when excess energy is available. It intelligently controls and adjusts the flow of energy to the immersion in proportion with the fluctuating export levels.
Water is heated over the course of the day using the free solar energy at your home.

A Simple Design with Innovative and Clever Features:

Solar iBoost+ fits quickly and neatly into your airing cupboard, wired between the existing fused spur and immersion heater. No need to change your standard 3kW immersion heater.
It responds rapidly to varying home consumption and changing weather conditions, ensuring only excess power is used.
Solar iBoost+ has connections for 2 immersions, automatically switching between them to maximize electric water heating systems.
The Wireless Sender eliminates unsightly wiring.
Real-time information, such as “Heating by Solar 1.6kW,” and historical energy saving figures are displayed at the push of a button. Additional data can be viewed using the optional iBoost+ Buddy home display.
LED indicators provide an instant visual indication of the system’s operation.
A simple programmable timer allows Solar iBoost+ to work in harmony with your existing water heating system on a 5/2 day basis. Separate winter and summer settings can be programmed and switched between easily.
The built-in Boost override switch gives you control to top up your hot water in 15-minute increments up to 2 hours.
Solar iBoost+ is ready to connect wirelessly to the Buddy if added at installation or a later date.
CE compliance to all product and safety standards has been conducted by independent test laboratories.
